Something’s Different by Koda the Dog
Something’s different. I’m not sure what it is, but Mister and Missus are home a lot more these days.
I like it.
We go on more walks. I LOVE WALKS! There are so many bushes to sniff on our walks. I love sniffing even more than walking. And something else is different about the walks. There are more people and dogs out walking, too. Way more than usual. And the people make those sounds with their mouths when we’re out walking now. It’s not barking. It’s called….talking. Yes, that’s it. They talk. They used to just be quiet when we passed each other. It is different now.
It is different at home. The TV is on more. I like it because I get to snuggle on the couch with Mister. He puts a blanket on his lap and we get cozy. There’s nothing better than resting my head on his lap and being petted. Missus keeps the Evil Cat from picking on me. That cat is such a bully! I never did anything to her except exist! Missus shoos the cat away so that I can get from room to room without the cat hissing and swiping her paw at me. Missus is my hero.
There are more people dropping off boxes at our front door than ever. It used to happen sometimes but now it seems like it happens almost every day. I don’t trust these people. Have you ever heard of “stranger danger?” Well, I let them know what I think of them! I bark at them through the window right next to the front door. If I could speak, I would yell “Get away from here! This is MY HOUSE!” I don’t understand why they are coming here all of the time now.
Speaking of the window by the front door, I see the neighborhood kids playing outside all of the time now. I never see them come and go on the orange and black box on wheels that looks like a tiger. They just play outside but it’s not hot like summer. I’m confused. Something’s different.
Yes, something is different. I don’t know what it is but I like it because I get to spend more time with Mister and Missus. They are my family and I love them. If they would just let me take nap.
